A YOUTH theatre group in Pembrokeshire is seeking budding actors and volunteers to take it on to its next stage.
Narberth Youth Theatre (NYT) was launched in April, following the success of the town’s community panto, Jack and the Beans-talk, which was was put on under the direction of Span Arts, several professional arts practitioners and young people.
The group – which will be managed by a committee and will work as a Span Arts youth project – has a growing membership, and is now planning and preparing for its first live performance.
As well as young performers aged between 11 and 18 years of age, NYT is keen to hear from volunteers who have the enthusiasm to help take the initiative forward.
People with experience in fundraising, marketing, stage management and technical skills will all be welcome.
Workshops for young performers are on Wednesday evenings during term-time only, between 6.30pm and 8pm on the first floor of the Courthouse (Grace Church) in Market Square, Narberth. Membership is £2 a session – please wear suitable clothes and shoes.
