Comments and reviews starting to come in from people that have seen the show, Mary, Sister of Mary, put on by the Narberth Youth Theatre in the unusual setting of Gravell’s Car Showroom and Garage, on the Redstone Road in Narberth, over the last two nights.
The final performance is tonight (Saturday 12 April). We are reliably informed that filming is to take place. It looks like it is going to be an exciting evening for all concerned.
Organisers point out that this is a PROMENADE show, moving between 2 spaces at Gravells garage and is unseated. If seating is required please bring your own.
The show runs for 90 minutes with a 15-20 minute interval. There is also a licensed bar on site selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments. It’s advisable to wear comfortable clothing and footwear due to moving around. For anyone wishing to park closer to the venue there is parking, and parking attendants to assist you.
Many thoughts about the show which is being talked about across the town ‘now we know why it is called a SHOW room’, ‘such a great night’, ‘amazing show tonight, everyone was brilliant’.
Pride of place this morning to the comments of oneNarberth editor, Ian Gravell. His Facebook newsfeed appears to speak for many people who have witnessed local theatre history in the making.
Performance organisers offered the following view of what has been said;
From all of us at NYT thank you. It is a rare treat for a community youth theatre to get to take over such a space after hours. Together we are proving it can work. Last show tonight. Tickets are available on the door.
Last performance this evening, at 8:00pm. A reminder that tickets now (if still available) only on the door.
