Academic year 2018-19 sees several changes for NYT including the launch of a new youth
theatre workshop model.

Narberth Youth Theatre runs weekly children and young people’s drama and performance
sessions in the Old Courthouse Narberth.

Our workshops are run by a dedicated team of professional writers, actors, drama teachers,
musicians and dancers.

So what has changed?
Our weekly sessions are now run across three groups and at no extra cost to our members

Wednesday nights ( term time only)
Juniors 5.00-6.00pm – age 7-11 ( Primary school)
Session 1 – 6.00-7.15pm ( Academic year 7-9)
Session 2 – 7.15-8.45pm – ( Academic year 10-13)

Why did we do it?
We listened to our members and saw an opportunity to enhance the experience of being part of
our group.

What to expect in our new Senior Groupings?
Our senior groups are now tailored to the age and skills of the learner. Tightly aligned to current
education key stage levels.

The Senior Group known as ‘Session 2’ – has been launched to support learners wishing to
– Gain experience in live performance
– Top up on their drama/ English/ music GCSE/ A Level
– For Welsh Baccalaureate
– For Duke of Edinburgh
– For confidence and personal development
– To have fun with like- minded young people

How much does it cost?
Weekly sessions cost £5.00 ( discounted Finance Plan available). Registration all year round.

How to get involved?
To register your child must be aged 7-18 years, loves drama, film, music and dance but most of all
likes to have fun.

Our community youth arts organisation was set up in 2011 following the request by children
living in the area to have a safe place to go and participate in drama. Since launching we have
successfully delivered weekly workshops and live performance opportunities, planned theatre
